Panthers Survive PBA Scare, 82-74

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – It was a fast-paced game from the gate Monday night with 12 ties and 16 lead changes. Fortunately for Florida Tech, the Panthers came out on the winning end of a tough game against a good Palm Beach Atlantic team to remain undefeated (5-0). Despite the best efforts of the Sailfish (4-4), Tech pulled off the 82-74 win, led by Derek Hellemann’s 25 points.

Panthers Rally Past #12 Arkansas Tech 59-48 to Remain Unbeaten

MELBOURNE, Fla. (W. Basketball) - Florida Tech (7-0) survived their first real test of the season against #12 Arkansas Tech (4-2), knocking off the Golden Suns 59-48 on Monday night. Trailing by a point at the half, the Panthers' defense picked up, forcing 16 second half turnovers which helped fuel the upset. Junior Tamara Dowdell had a monstrous game for the Crimson and Gray, putting up a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
