Tars Top Panthers, 99-79

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – Florida Tech had a rough time toward the end of the first half Wednesday night and things didn’t get any easier in the second as Rollins College (10-3, 3-0 SSC) defeated the Panthers (7-6, 0-3 SSC) 99-79 in conference action at the Clemente Center. Derek Hellemann led the home team with 22 in the effort.

Panthers Come up Just Short, Fall to No. 12 Rollins

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Women’s Basketball) – Sophomore Lynisha Nelson had a team-high 15 points, but the Florida Tech women’s basketball team lost its second straight game, 63-62, to Rollins College Wednesday night at the Clemente Center. With the Tars’ (12-0, 3-0 SSC) defeat over the Panthers (11-2, 1-2), Rollins notched its 20th regular season victory in 21 games.

Panthers Fall at Florida Southern, 99-86

LAKELAND, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – Despite a 17-point edge in the first half Saturday night, Florida Tech (7-5, 0-2 SSC) came up short against Florida Southern (11-4, 1-1 SSC) in Sunshine State Conference action. Ryan Ballard led the way for the Panthers with 22 points, while Derek Hellemann posted a double-double of 18 points and a season-high 14 rebounds.
