Panthers Roll Past Cougars, 103-54

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – Sparked by a whopping 32 points from freshman Simon Cummings, Florida Tech cruised to a 103-54 win over Clearwater Christian College Tuesday night to extend the Panthers’ record to 3-0. Cummings finished the night 7-of-11 from behind the arc.

Panther Defense Mauls Lions in 77-46 Victory

MELBOURNE, Fla. (W. Basketball) – Florida Tech (2-0) continues to set the tone in the young season as the Panthers held Florida Memorial (0-1) five minutes before allowing a basket to open the game. Tech held the visitors from Miami Shores to 21.7 percent shooting for the game. Sophomore Lynisha Nelson led a balanced offensive attack against FMU, scoring 12 points and handing out three assists with five steals.

Tech Makes it 2-0 After Tip-off Classic

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – In the final day of the Florida Tech Tip-off Classic, the Panthers prevailed with an 85-66 victory over UPR-Mayaguez to extend the series lead over the Tarzans to 9-0. Freshman Derek Hellemann led all scorers for the day with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
