Tech Makes it 2-0 After Tip-off Classic

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – In the final day of the Florida Tech Tip-off Classic, the Panthers prevailed with an 85-66 victory over UPR-Mayaguez to extend the series lead over the Tarzans to 9-0. Freshman Derek Hellemann led all scorers for the day with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Historic Women's Soccer Season Comes to an End in Second Round of Regional Tournament


WINTER PARK, Fla. (Women’s Soccer) – The Florida Tech women’s soccer team’s phenomenal postseason run ended in a 4-0 defeat by the Tars of Rollins College (15-0-4) on Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament. Despite strong runs in the second half, the Panthers were unable to make up for the 3-0 deficit the Tars created in the first 45 minutes as Tech fell to their Sunshine State Conference opponent at Cahall-Sandspur Field.

Panthers Open Season with Win over Gamecocks

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Basketball) – With All-America candidate Justin Sedlak going down to injury just minutes into the game Saturday, senior point guard Ryan Ballard took over and notched 14 first half points to help spur the Panthers on to victory. Florida Tech picked up a 93-73 win over the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras to start the season on a good note.
